Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup milk or half & half
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
6 tablespoons rock salt
1 pint-size plastic food storage bag (e.g., Ziploc)
1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag
Ice cubes
Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully.
Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes.
Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Enjoy!

Tip: I made a triple batch so i used bigger bags, the bigger bag may be hard for kids to shake.
Vegan Vanilla Almond Ice Cream with Vegan Chocolate Chips
1 tablespoon vegan sugar or raw sugar
1/2 a cup of Almond Milk
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
6 tablespoons of Rock Salt
1 pint sized plastic bag (Ziploc)
1 gallon sized plastic bag (Ziploc)
Vegan or non dairy Chocolate Chips
Ice Cubes
Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully.
Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes.
Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream
•1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
•1 TBS Canola Oil
•1 Cup Sugar
•2 TBS Corn Starch
•2 TBS All-Purpose Unbleached Flour
•1 tsp Vanilla
•Pinch of Salt
•1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
•1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
•1/2 Cup Water
•4 1/2 Cups Soy or Almond Milk
Place coconut milk, canola oil, sugar, corn starch, flour, vanilla, salt, maple syrup, cocoa powder, water in blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into sauce pan. Boil until mixture has thickened (about 2 minutes) stirring constantly. Let cool until just warm to the touch. Pour soy milk into ice cream maker. Then pour chocolate mixture into soy milk and stir well. Follow directions that came with your ice cream maker to finish.
